
Christine Stephens
Attorney
Christine Stephens counsels FDA-regulated businesses in achieving their objectives while avoiding compliance and enforcement risks. She has worked with domestic and global medical device manufacturers in both premarket submissions and postmarket surveillance. She has also helped drug companies with legal issues involving both prescription and over-the-counter products. In addition, she has advised food industry corporations, restaurant chains and trade associations on numerous regulatory and legislative matters.
Prior to joining the Wood Burditt Group, Ms. Stephens spent ten years litigating cases as an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. She prosecuted felonies from arraignment through sentencing, including many bench and jury trials. In addition, she argued several appeals before the First District Illinois Appellate Court and represented the State of Illinois in a variety of civil trials.
Ms. Stephens enjoys volunteering in her community. She spent several years serving on the boards of both the YWCA of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff and the Lake Forest Preservation Foundation, as well as in a variety of leadership roles at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest and School District 67. She continues to actively volunteer for the local troop of Scouts BSA.
Ms. Stephens earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and her J.D. from the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
